Welcome to the official website of the 2nd International Conference on Energy Storage Technology and Applications (ICESTA 2022), which is organized by Centre of Excellence for Electrical Energy Storage Technology, Universitas Sebelas Maret, which will be held on 12th October 2022.
Paper in the former conference has successfully been published in Open Engineering, Evergreen, Defect and Diffusion Forum, Materials Science Forum, Solid State Phenomena, and Key Engineering Materials, which is indexed by Scopus.
The conference theme is “Energy Storage for Industry and Sustainable Environment”.
The industry is one of the leading energy consumers with a global share of 37%. Fossil fuels are used to meet more than 80% of this demand. It is important to control the vastly growing energy consumption by improving energy efficiency and by increasing the use of renewable energy. Renewable energy sources, such as wind, wave and tidal, photovoltaics (PV), and biomass energy. However, renewable energy has uncertain output, so it requires energy storage to mitigate power variations, store, and dispatch renewable energy. Therefore, energy storage is expected to contribute to creating a cleaner environment. ICESTA 2022 provides a platform for all participants (academic scientists, researchers, and industry practitioners) to discuss specific areas, such as the latest developments and applications in the fields related to energy storage. Furthermore, this meeting is expected to strengthen networking between Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), and other universities, industries, or institutions in the world.
